Less than a year to go

October

October 12th was our 1 year to go anniversary so thanks to all of you who supported the occasion via twitter and facebook, there was a lot of activity and plenty of support from all corners of the globe.

All 8 nations have now made their commitment to WWRC15 and we are just a few weeks away from being able to release our match schedule, so make sure you have signed up to our newsletter to ensure you are the first to hear the news.

Chris Bond and Josh Hose show their support for 1 year to go.

The British team were busy at the Stoop as they were guests of Harlequins as part of their ongoing partnership, there was an onpitch demonstration and lots of opportunities for young and old to try out a chair and get stuck in plus a chance for us to promote WWRC15. We love this photo of a young Harlequins fan trying things out whilst Ayaz Bhuta looks on.

A busy late September for the Sport also saw the Treat Trust Cup take place in South Wales, a four nation tournament featuring Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England - as part of the celebration of 25 years of South Wales Pirates Wheelchair Rugby . A hard fought competition culminated with England beating Wales 53-28 in the final.

Finally, thanks to all of you who applied for the Community Programme Manager position for WWRC15. There were a lot of high quality applicants and we are delighted to welcome Julie Bunnage to the team, who will be working hard to ensure the Communtiy day on October 11 is a massive success, kicking off a fantastic week for Wheelchair Rugby in the Copper Box....see you there.
